Germany - Brazil

Germany take on Brazil in one of the most exciting games in the friendly matches list this week. The game will be played at Mercedes –Benz Arena in Stuttgart and it kicks off at 19:45 GMT. Both sides will be willing to show their best and whereas the Germans will definitely try some of their young guns, the visitors will try to do their best and erase the bad impression they left in their fans after Copa America. However, I expect that Germany will emerge the eventual winners and the odds of 2.40 are worth the risk.

Germany have been doing brilliantly in their qualifying group for the European Championships next year and sit comfortably in the 1st place with a huge advantage of 10 points over 2nd placed Belgium. Joachim Low has done fantastically well as his team have won all of the 7 games played so far in the group. Moreover, the Germans have scored 22 goals and have conceded only 3 which speaks well of the strength they have. Young guns such as Schurle, Gotze and Muller will lead the frontline against Brazil and the South Americans can expect very tough times.

Brazil will be devastated after the poor Copa America tournament that they played. Albeit finishing in first place in their preliminary group, the five-time World champions were far from convincing in their performances and deservedly got knocked out of the competition in the quarter-finals by Paraguay after penalty-shoot out. Head coach Mano Menezes will rely on Pato, Robinho, and Neymar upfront but they showed that if there is a stronger defence against them, they find it difficult to operate successfully. Brazil won only three of their last nine matches (3-4-2) and this record shows the problems they have.

Germany will be willing to do well in front of their own fans and the young players that will be given chance to start will be very hungry to show Low they are capable of getting regular places in the first eleven.
