Manchester City - Manchester United

Manchester City take on Manchester United in the Community Shield match in England this weekend. The game will be played at Wembley at 14:30 GMT and promises to be a really tight encounter. Both teams will definitely play out at 100 percent as the English Premier League starts next weekend and this will be the last chance for amendments. I expect and end-to-end game and my pick here is the Goal/Goal option.

Mancheste City had some issues with their captain Carlos Tevez during the summer holiday but the Argentine is now training with the team. Head coach Roberto Mancini will not be able to rely on new signing Sergio Aguero but another acquisition Gael Clichy from Arsenal looks set to start. Manchester City had a very good pre-season preparation as they recorded three wins and one draw including a 3-0 thrashing of Inter Milan. Two of these four games finished with a Goal/goal option coming out.

Manchester United had a very good pre-season tour in the US where they recorded quite a few impressive wins, including a 2:1 victory against Barcelona. The top striker of the team Wayne Rooney seems to be hitting already fifth gear as he got many goals and assists in the friendly games. New signings Phil Jones, David de Gea and Ashley Young look to be settling very well and it will not be a surprise if all three of them start at Wembley. Chicharito and Michael Carrick will miss the opening game of the season. Three of the four friendly games that United played finished with the option Goal/Goal so I expect another one.

Moreover, four of the last six meetings between the two teams finished with that option so the odds of 1.83 look worth the risk.
