Bottom of the table Halmstad take on 2nd placed Elfsborg in a game from Round 16 in the Swedish Allsvenskan league. Elsfborg are in 2nd place at the moment chasing league leaders Helsingborg by three points so they will do their best to get all the points on Sunday. The team are in great form and it seems that their early Europa League participation is not affecting them. The eased past Fola Esch in the first qualifying round and the game against Suduva on Thursday will probably not hinder the players for giving their best against Halmstad. Elfsborg won two of the last four away games in the league (2-1-1) but they still need to improve the away record if they want to become champions.
Elfsborg won the last three games against Halmstad away from home so this will also be a huge psychological boost for the visitors.
